Actions you take or do not take during the policy term may impact the premium. For example, if you purchased a policy through Hippo and received a smart home kit, you were eligible for a proactive homeowner discount subject to certain terms and conditions, including activating the kit. That discount was applied to your premium when you opted-in to Hippo’s Smart Home program on the understanding that you would activate your smart home kit when you received it. If you did not activate the smart home kit within the activation period, the balance may be the result of the loss of this discount because you did not timely activate your smart home kit.
