If the inspection reveals that your property remains eligible for coverage, your policy will proceed according to the terms, conditions, and exclusions set forth in your policy.
In some instances, after the inspection, Hippo’s underwriting team may contact you requesting that specific modifications or improvements be made to the home in order to reduce the home’s risk exposure and approve your coverage—for instance, a customer may be asked to add handrails to some steps. Finally, the inspection may reveal that you are ineligible for the policy you obtained through Hippo.
In those instances, a Hippo team member will reach out to help find insurance coverage with a partner
